We invite everyone to participate in World/National Cleanup Day! Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026 Time: 9:00—11:00 AM Place: St. Louis Church Parking Lot
We will join with cities and countries around the world in a massive effort to clean up our planet. In addition to looking ugly, litter pollutes the soil and water, and can harm wildlife and pets. It is profoundly disrespectful to Creation and our Creator. We must do better.
We will meet in the church parking lot and then spread throughout our communities and pick up trash. We will provide trash bags and gloves. Even if you can only clean up your own street, that will make a difference. If you are unable to participate, consider making a donation to offset the cost of the supplies.
Electronics Recycling
Did you know… Mainers can recycle electronics FREE of charge?? You can bring your old TVs (CRTs and flat screens), computer monitors, CPU towers, laptops and printers to the Valley Recycling Facility on Airport Road in Frenchville. Their hours are: Tuesday through Saturday 8:00 - 4:00.
Computer keyboards, mice and cell phones are not accepted.
To make this recycling effort easier, as part of our World/National Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 19 we will host an E-Waste Collection from 9:00 - 11:00 AM in the St. Louis Church Parking Lot.
If you cannot bring your items that day, you can bring them to VRF during their regular operating hours.
