The Fort Kent Ladies of St. Anne are delighted to recognize the recipients of their two $500 scholarships for the 2025 academic year. These scholarships are awarded in support of the children and grandchildren of Ladies of St. Anne members, with selections based on academic excellence, community involvement, and other eligibility criteria.
Congratulations to the following scholarship awardees:
Rowan Tanguay, the granddaughter of Mary Ann Tanguay, is from Fort Kent and will be pursuing a degree in ‘Wildlife Biology’ at Paul’s Smith College in Paul Smiths, NY. Rowan has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence throughout her time at CHS, consistently achieving highest honor roll recognition in every ranking period. She has successfully earned 32 college credits through UMFK’s Early College Program and has taken on leadership roles as President of the NHS and VP of the student council. A dedicated and active student, Rowan has made significant contributions to the athletic program and maintained an impressive record of involvement, all while balancing several part-time positions during her high school years.
Madison Morneault, the granddaughter of Patrice Soucy, who is also from Fort Kent will be attending UMFK pursuing a degree in ‘Nursing’. Throughout her attendance at Community High School, Madison has maintained high honor roll status during every ranking period. She has earned 42 college credits through UMFK’s Early College Program, served as Vice President on the State of Maine Student Council, Vice President of the National Honor Society and has served on the school board for the last two years as a ‘student liaison officer’. Madison has played a key role in the athletic program while consistently demonstrating strong involvement in other school activities and service to community.
The Ladies of St. Anne proudly celebrate Rowan, Madison, and all the high school seniors graduating in 2025. Their dedication and perseverance have led to this milestone, and we eagerly anticipate the great successes that lie ahead. Congratulations!
