The Catholic Church of Maine offers prayers & condolences to the Annunciation parish & school community in Minneapolis following the shooting that occurred during this morning's school Mass.
We are praying for the victims, the wounded, their families, classmates, teachers, & parish staff, & for all who were present. We recognize the work of local authorities & medical teams.
In fraternal solidarity with the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis, we ask that the faithful of our parishes & those of goodwill join in prayer for all those affected by this tragedy.
On July 26th, 2025, approximately 145 women gathered at St. Luce Church in Frenchville for a memorable Deanery Celebration honoring the feast day of Good St. Anne. The event was a beautiful testament to the faith, dedication, and fellowship of the Ladies of St. Anne from across our parish communities.
You're invited to St. John Vianney Parish Youth Choir with MS. SAMANTHA ROSSIGNOL! Practice begins on TUES, SEPT. 9, 2025 @ 2:45-3:30 in the Music Room @ FKES. For grades 3-5.
We are so grateful to everyone who participated in our summer choir the weekend of AUGUST 16 & 17 at all our Masses. Your voices were truly beautiful and lifted our liturgies in a powerful way. We received many positive comments from parishioners who were deeply moved by the music.
THANK YOU TO OUR GARAGE SALE VOLUNTEERS!!
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make our parish garage sale a success!
It is truly inspiring to see what can be accomplished when a community comes together with generosity and heart.
A special thank you goes out to Kathy Hafford, Ron Leclair, Eileen Belanger, and Sue Voisine.
Your dedication, time, and tireless efforts are over and above. The success of the garage sale would not have been possible without these amazing individuals. Their willingness to help with anything and be wherever needed was outstanding. Our parish is blessed to have you.
THANK YOU FOR BEING THE HANDS AND HEART OF CHRIST IN ACTION!!
This week, we joyfully shine our Gratitude Spotlight on the devoted Altar Servers of St. Mary’s Church: Pierre Valcourt, Olivia Mulcahy, Isaiah Mulcahy, & Jacelyn Whitely. Pierre Valcourt has served for 39 years. He serves at both funerals & Masses, he shared that, “He loves being able to connect with the people.” A few years ago, he considered stepping away from altar serving, but through prayer & signs from God, he felt called to continue. Pierre recounted two powerful experiences: one during a funeral Mass where he & other witnessed a miraculous moment at the altar. And another at the cemetery were he was praying & a woman came to speak with him & notices his eucharistic pix & said, "You did not choose to do what you are doing, but God chose you.” Pierre describes his journey as, “quite an experience,” & told Sister Marie Louise that he plans to continue serving for a long time. His hope & prayer are that someone will be ready to take his place when he no longer can.
Thank You for a Blessed Centennial Novena!
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the Nine-Day Centennial Novena to St. John Vianney. It was truly a blessing to gather in prayer, reflection, Adoration, and confession, and to deepen our connection with one another as a parish family.

WITH GRATEFUL HEARTS,
If you wish to send Rev. Mr. Joseph Beale a letter, please bring it to the parish office. We will pass it along.
As Seminarian Joseph Beale concludes his time with us, we extend our deepest gratitude for the joy and dedication he has shared throughout his journey here at St. John Vianney Parish. Joseph has been a true blessing to our parish family, and we are thankful for the time, energy, and spiritual guidance he has offered.
Though we will miss him dearly, we send him forth with our prayers and love as he continues his studies and prepares for the sacred calling of the priesthood. May God Bless Joseph in the path ahead and may he always feel the support of our community with him.
Thank you, Joseph. You will remain in our prayers.
