THANK YOU TO OUR GARAGE SALE VOLUNTEERS!!
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make our parish garage sale a success!
It is truly inspiring to see what can be accomplished when a community comes together with generosity and heart.
A special thank you goes out to Kathy Hafford, Ron Leclair, Eileen Belanger, and Sue Voisine.
Your dedication, time, and tireless efforts are over and above. The success of the garage sale would not have been possible without these amazing individuals. Their willingness to help with anything and be wherever needed was outstanding. Our parish is blessed to have you.
THANK YOU FOR BEING THE HANDS AND HEART OF CHRIST IN ACTION!!
This week, we joyfully shine our Gratitude Spotlight on the devoted Altar Servers of St. Mary’s Church: Pierre Valcourt, Olivia Mulcahy, Isaiah Mulcahy, & Jacelyn Whitely. Pierre Valcourt has served for 39 years. He serves at both funerals & Masses, he shared that, “He loves being able to connect with the people.” A few years ago, he considered stepping away from altar serving, but through prayer & signs from God, he felt called to continue. Pierre recounted two powerful experiences: one during a funeral Mass where he & other witnessed a miraculous moment at the altar. And another at the cemetery were he was praying & a woman came to speak with him & notices his eucharistic pix & said, "You did not choose to do what you are doing, but God chose you.” Pierre describes his journey as, “quite an experience,” & told Sister Marie Louise that he plans to continue serving for a long time. His hope & prayer are that someone will be ready to take his place when he no longer can.
WITH GRATEFUL HEARTS,
If you wish to send Rev. Mr. Joseph Beale a letter, please bring it to the parish office. We will pass it along.
As Seminarian Joseph Beale concludes his time with us, we extend our deepest gratitude for the joy and dedication he has shared throughout his journey here at St. John Vianney Parish. Joseph has been a true blessing to our parish family, and we are thankful for the time, energy, and spiritual guidance he has offered.
Though we will miss him dearly, we send him forth with our prayers and love as he continues his studies and prepares for the sacred calling of the priesthood. May God Bless Joseph in the path ahead and may he always feel the support of our community with him.
Thank you, Joseph. You will remain in our prayers.
St. John Vianney Parish
This week we joyfully shine our Gratitude Spotlight on the incredible team behind St. Mary's Food Pantry in St. Mary's Hall behind the church. These devoted volunteers faithfully serve over on hundred families on the first Wednesday of each month. Offering not just food, but hope, kindness & love.
This month, we open our hearts in thanksgiving for two extraordinary men whose music & ministry have been the soul of our parish: Dennis Bouchard, our cantor & sacristan for 40 years, & Paul Saucier, our beloved musician for an amazing 56 years.
This week our spotlight will focus on our dedicated team of outstanding cemetery workers. Our parish is blessed to have some of the best. St. John Vianney Parish maintains ten cemeteries from Allagash to Eagle Lake. To keep these cemeteries maintained is a full-time job and requires a lot of demanding work. Thankfully, we have some incredible cemetery workers. They are Rodney Roy, Donald Pinette, Lucien Parent, and Bruce Morneault. From preparing grave sites, to maintaining the grounds, their tireless efforts provide families with a serene and dignified resting place for their loved ones. What they do is more than “just a Job” it is a service of compassion, ensuring that each farewell is met with the respect it deserves. As a parish community we extend our deepest gratitude to all of them for their dedication, hard work, and commitment. We are truly blessed that we have you all to maintain these sacred places. Thank you, Rodney Roy, Donald Pinette, Lucien Parent, & Bruce Morneault.
We are all brothers & sisters in Jesus Christ Our Lord. We are called to love & care for one other. This week our gratitude spotlight, goes to two amazing women Malvia Landry & Patti Voisine from St. Francis.
In continuing with our gratitude spotlight, we want to spotlight Mrs. Lorie Voisine.
Lorie is the high school Senior Coordinator. Her dedication and compassion to this task has helped to bridge generations and foster a deeper connection to our faith. It has had a profound impact on their lives and helps to guide them into the future.
Our parish community thrives because of the generosity & dedication of many outstanding individuals. The St. Charles Food Pantry, & its workers & helpers, are one of the many groups that make our parish thrive!
